Pricing & plans

What each API plan includes, how you're invoiced, and how upgrades and downgrades work.

API access is sold as a fixed monthly plan. Each plan includes write requests, nudges, a rate limit and a support level. You only pay more if you go past your allowances.

Which plan fits

  • Starter — Pilots, proofs of concept and small platforms that create a few thousand records a month.
  • Growth — Production integrations with steady volume. Most platforms start here.
  • Scale — High-volume platforms that need higher rate limits, a dedicated account manager and white-label options.
  • Enterprise — Unlimited write requests, custom SLA, dedicated infrastructure and quarterly reviews. Talk to sales.

As a rough guide, one new subscriber usually takes 2–3 write requests (create customer, create checkout session, and sometimes a later update). Renewals, retries and reminders that Subby runs for you use none.

How you're invoiced

  • You're invoiced monthly in arrears on the day your API plan started.
  • Each invoice shows your plan fee, write request overage and nudge overage as separate lines.
  • Invoices are available in Dashboard → Developers → Billing and through GET /account/invoices.
  • Payment is due within 30 days.

Payment processing fees

Your API plan covers API access, nudges and the subscription engine. Fees charged by payment rails for money collected from subscribers are separate:

Fees on payments collected from your customers are shown in Dashboard → Settings → Fees and in your provider agreement.

Upgrading and downgrading

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Your new allowances and rate limit apply straight away, and your next invoice charges the new plan fee prorated from the day you upgraded.
  • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period, so you keep your current allowances until then.
  • Change plans in Dashboard → Developers → Billing → Change plan.

Free sandbox, always

The sandbox is free on every plan, including before you pick a plan. Sandbox requests and nudges never appear on an invoice.
